Are you looking for a nice stainless steel award for your organization? This sculpture of stainless steel – specially designed as a swap award – is awarded annually at the Maritime Gala.
The Wim Timmers Ontwerpersprijs (formerly VNSI Wim Timmersprijs) brings the creativity and innovative power of Dutch maritime designers to the attention of a wide audience. The price is aimed at the way in which a design of (a subsystem of) a ship or offshore vessel is created. The prize is made possible by Netherlands Maritime Technology.
For this price I designed a wave movement that also symbolizes the design process, in which a good design often arises from a very small hunch. The creative process often takes unexpected turns.
The image is made of high-quality stainless steel (316) that is polished on all sides into a mirror. This annual exchange award will be presented at the Maritime Gala.
